Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) to join our manufacturing team. The Industrial Mechanic Millwright is responsible for the safe installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, alignment, repair, fabrication, and continuous improvement of plant mechanical systems and production equipment to support safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
The role includes corrective and preventive maintenance, precision alignment, maintenance welding, rigging and hoisting leadership, pipefitting and controlled line breaking, powered lift truck and scissor lift operation with fall arrest where required, documentation in CMMS, and participation in shutdowns and continuous improvement activities.
General Building & Facility Maintenance
Perform general building and facility maintenance including basic plumbing (non-licensed scope), overhead/sectional door repair, routine building repairs, HVAC mechanical tasks such as filter and belt changes (excluding licensed HVAC work), and mechanical support for lighting systems. Identify and report facilities deficiencies impacting safety or reliability.
Compliance, Safety & Regulatory Responsibilities
Work strictly in accordance with Ontario OHSA requirements and Neo policies. Execute lockout/tagout for all hazardous energy, comply with WHMIS, use fall protection when required, operate forklifts only when trained and competent, maintain guarding, complete documentation, and stop work when unsafe conditions exist.
Travel Requirements (Occasional)
Travel is not generally required. Infrequent travel may occur to inspect equipment prior to purchase or to supervise loading and preparation of machinery for transport. All travel is task-specific and planned.
Qualifications
Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) Certificate of Qualification. Industrial maintenance experience. Competency in welding, rigging, pipefitting, forklifts, and elevated work platforms.
Terms of Employment:
- Full time, hourly wage.
- Rotating shift schedule
- Overtime as needed.
This is a rare metals recovery and upgrading facility with requirements for the safe handling of chemicals and raw materials, including arsenic bearing materials, fumes and dust. All PPE will be supplied (respirator, safety glasses, etc).
