GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Guest Service Agent is the heartbeat of Moxy—the first (and sometimes the best) impression guests get when they walk through our doors. You'll handle check-ins, check-outs, guest requests, and reservations while keeping that Moxy energy high and the vibe authentic. Your role is crucial in creating a seamless, fun, and unforgettable guest experience that makes them want to come back.
WHO YOU ARE:
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in front desk, customer service, or hospitality is preferred.
- Knowledge of hotel reservation systems (e.g., Opera, Fosse, Marriott GXP) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Extras:
- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
- Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
- Excellent communicator with natural interpersonal skills.
- Guest-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Familiarity with Marriott systems and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Comfortable standing and walking for long periods (up to 8 hours/shift).
- Able to lift/carry up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Manual dexterity to operate front desk and office equipment.
- Writing, listening, and strong visual acuity for detail.

- Maintain the front desk area—clean, organized, and selfie-ready at all times.
- Keep supplies stocked and the station running like a well-oiled Moxy machine.
- Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations efficiently and accurately.
Support the Crew:
- Provide detailed information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services—with style and enthusiasm.
- Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B teams to enhance every guest's experience.
- Jump in where needed across departments; we're all in this together.
- Handle guest requests and concerns with professionalism, positivity, and Moxy attitude.
Delight the Guests:
- Employ the LEARN approach when resolving guest concerns—and always come out with a win.
- Assist with transportation arrangements, special requests, and personalized touches that make stays memorable.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism and flair.
- Create moments that turn guests into Moxy loyalists.
Shine Behind the Scenes:
- Maintain accurate guest records, billing, and payment processing.
- Process transactions correctly—cash, credit, and room charges.
- Assist with night audit duties when required.
- Follow all security protocols: room key control, guest privacy, and safety procedures.
- Monitor the lobby and front desk area, reporting any issues promptly.
