We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with public practice experience to join our team. If you enjoy working with a diverse range of clients and value meaningful, relationship-focused work, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Full-cycle bookkeeping for a range of small business and individual clients.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and CaseWare for day-to-day financial transactions.
- Work directly with clients to address questions and solve problems.
- Compile information and file various returns including; WCB, GST, PST and EHT.
- Maintain very organized records and respect absolute confidentiality for clients.
- Review your work to spot errors early, and remain flexible and coachable.
- Prepare client files for accountants to complete year ends.
Experience
- 2+ years experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in common accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or CaseWare is highly desirable but willingness to be trained is mandatory.
- Clear, friendly written and spoken communication.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
