Responsibilities
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service during meal periods.
- Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current food trends while catering to customer preferences.
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper food handling practices are followed.
- Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and maintain high performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor food presentation and quality to meet restaurant standards.
- Handle any kitchen-related issues or emergencies promptly and effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality or food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management practices, including food handling and safety protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
- Excellent culinary skills with a creative approach to menu planning and execution.
- Experience in restaurant management is preferred, including budgeting and cost control.
