Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Forming carpenter or contractor to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in concrete forming, carpentry, blueprint reading. This role involves working on various construction projects, including concrete forming, rebar installation,. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical expertise and precision. Must be legal to work in Canada
Duties
- Construct and assemble formwork for concrete structures using hand tools, power tools, and schematics
- Install rebar and reinforcement materials according to blueprints and project specifications
- Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, leveling to ensure quality finishes
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to accurately execute project plans
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
Requirements
- Must have own transportation
- Proven experience in concrete forming, rebar installation, carpentry, or related construction fields
- Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites and equipment use
- Construction experience with a focus on concrete finishing
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
