We are seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Shop Foreman to lead our service team. The successful candidate will be a licensed Journeyman Automotive Service Technician with strong diagnostic abilities, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality repairs and outstanding customer satisfaction.
As Shop Foreman, you will provide technical leadership, mentor technicians, assist with complex diagnostics and repairs, and work closely with the Service Manager to ensure an efficient, productive, and positive work environment. Previous General Motors dealership experience is considered a strong asset.
Provide leadership, guidance, and technical support to the service technician team.
Perform advanced diagnostics and assist with complex vehicle repairs.
Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to manufacturer specifications.
Maintain workflow and assist in scheduling jobs to maximize shop productivity.
Support and mentor apprentices and technicians to encourage skill development.
Work closely with Service Advisors and the Service Manager to ensure exceptional customer service.
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment.
Ensure compliance with all manufacturer, warranty, and safety requirements.
Stay current with industry technology, manufacturer training, and repair procedures.
Licensed Journeyman Automotive Service Technician.
Previous experience in a Shop Foreman, Team Lead, or senior technician role is considered an asset.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
GM dealership experience is an asset but not required.
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Friendly, professional attitude with a commitment to exceptional customer service.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
