We are currently seeking a reliable, experienced, and motivated Crew Lead/Supervisor to join our team in forestry and wildfire operations. This role is responsible for leading crews in the field, ensuring safe and efficient work practices, and maintaining high standards in all operational activities.
This is a working supervisor role — you will be expected to lead by example and work alongside your crew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise crews in forestry and fire-related operations
- Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Enforce all safety protocols and maintain a strong safety culture
- Conduct tailgate meetings and ensure crew preparedness
- Train, mentor, and support crew members
- Monitor quality of work and address issues in real time
- Maintain clear communication with management and team members
- Assist with fire response and suppression activities as required
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in forestry, wildfire, or related field (required)
- Supervisory or crew lead experience (preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Solid understanding of safety procedures and hazard awareness
- Ability to work in physically demanding and fast-paced environments
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Certifications such as S-100/S-185, First Aid, Danger Tree and other industry tickets considered an asset
