Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automatic Laser / Plasma Cutting Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining CNC laser and plasma cutting equipment to produce precise metal components. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. The operator will contribute to high-quality production processes, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout all operations.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting and plasma cutting machines according to specifications.
- Program CNC machines using appropriate software to ensure accurate cuts and dimensions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics for proper machine setup.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laser and plasma cutting equipment.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to verify part dimensions and quality standards.
- Conduct quality inspections on finished parts to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Assist with loading raw materials onto machines using cranes or forklifts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly processes when necessary.
- Follow safety procedures related to welding, machining, and equipment operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or press brake machines is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes and manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with CNC programming software is a plus.
- Experience with welding, assembly, or quality inspection is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, and measuring devices.
- Ability to operate cranes or forklifts is desirable but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with good communication skills for effective teamwork.

Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour
