Currently we are looking for a Senior Safety Advisor (NCSO / CRST) for a project in the Montreal area.
Project Details
- 2 - 10 hour site visits per week and
- 3 - 10 hours site visits per week
- long term project
The successful candidate will also be eligible for additional safety coordination with Irwin's Safety
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid NCSO or CRST certificate
- Must have 6+ years' experience in an industrial environment
- Must have 10+ years' experience in a safety advisor capacity
- Must have reliable transportation to get to site
- Bilingual in English and French is a definite asset
Responsibilities
- Implementing safety measures, conducting inspections and promoting a culture of safety on site
- Evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards and develop strategies to control risks in the workplace
- Regular monitoring of safety compliance of workers and subcontractors
- Perform regular on-site safety inspections
- Investigate safety incidents on equipment and systems
- Conduct safety audits
- Perform regular safety meetings if required
- Report to H&S team with detailed findings, interactions, concerns and any trends observed in the field
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
