We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our Administration team. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career HR professional who is looking to build a career in human resources within a professional services environment.
Position Overview:
The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Manager and assists with a variety of HR functions, including employee onboarding and offboarding, record keeping, staff events, and general HR administration.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and able to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administration of firm policies and procedure.
- Provide administrative support to HR manager and assist with multiple ongoing projects
- Track employee information and other HR-related data.
- Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Assist with pre-employment and onboarding activities.
- Prepare new hire documentation and onboarding packages.
- Coordinate office and systems setup for new employees.
- Conduct new hire orientations and support onboarding activities.
- Assist in planning and coordinating firm events, employee recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and social activities.
- Support employee communications and engagement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in an HR, administrative, or professional office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
