Experienced Hair Stylist / Colourist

Expected Hours: 8–24 hours per week
Not Just Hair in Burlington is looking for an experienced Hair Stylist / Colourist to join our growing salon team.
We are looking for someone professional, reliable, clean, organized, and motivated to grow with our salon. This position is best for a stylist who enjoys working with clients, takes pride in their work, and wants to build a long-term career inside an established salon environment.
This is not a chair rental position. We are looking for someone who wants to work as part of the Not Just Hair team and represent our salon standards.
Main Services
The ideal stylist should be confident in:
- Women’s haircuts, including short haircuts
- Blowouts and styling
- Highlights
- Balayage / lived-in colour
- Toners / glossing
- Updos and special occasion styling
- Client consultations
Additional experience with colour correction, bridal styling, keratin, Botox, or smoothing treatments is an asset.

Schedule
We are looking for someone available on some or all of the following days:
- Tuesday
- Wednesday
- Thursday
- Friday
- Saturday
Part-time or flexible schedule may be considered for the right person.
Compensation / Arrangement
Hourly rate depends on experience, skill level, availability, and services offered.
A trial period will be required to make sure the stylist is a good fit for our salon, clients, and team. Commission and growth opportunities may be discussed after the trial period based on performance, bookings, and salon fit.

Requirements
- Hair styling experience
- Strong haircutting skills, including short haircuts
- Strong blowout and styling skills
- Colour experience, especially highlights and balayage
- Good communication skills
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Reliable availability
- Must be clean, organized, and client-focused
- Must hold a valid Ontario Hairstylist 332A Certificate of Qualification, Provisional Certificate of Qualification, or be a registered hairstylist apprentice where applicable
