Server – Job Summary
The Server is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a key member of the front-of-house team, the Server ensures guests feel welcomed, accurately takes and delivers orders, maintains cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant, and promotes menu items to enhance the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming dining experience.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and promotions.
- Make recommendations and upsell menu items when appropriate.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns promptly or escalate them to management.
- Process payments accurately and maintain proper cash-handling procedures.
- Assist with opening, closing, and side duties as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and workspaces.
- Follow all food safety, health, and company policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Smart Serve certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
