Registered Dental Hygienist — South Kitchener Dentistry
South Kitchener Dentistry (SK Dentistry) is a growing, owner-operated practice in Kitchener, run day-to-day by two dentists who work chairside alongside the team. We're looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist who genuinely enjoys being part of a tight-knit clinical team — someone who shows up curious, supports the people around them, and wants to keep expanding what they can do over time.
This isn't a "clock in, clock out" hygiene chair. We invest in our people, and the right person will have real room to grow their skillset, take on new responsibilities, and help shape how we deliver care.
What you'll do
- Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing to support periodontal health
- Take and interpret dental radiographs within your certification
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and walk them through their care in a way that builds trust
- Complete thorough patient assessments, including updating medical histories
- Work closely with our dentists and assistants to deliver seamless, comprehensive care
- Keep accurate, detailed clinical documentation in our practice management software
- Adapt your communication for patients of all ages, from kids to seniors
- Support our digital and orthodontic workflows, including Invisalign cases, as you build comfort with them
- Uphold infection prevention and control standards in line with RCDSO and PIDAC/Public Health Ontario guidelines
What we're looking for
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO)

- A growth mindset and openness to feedback — someone who's coachable, wants to learn, and is excited (not anxious) about expanding their scope over time
- Strong communication skills and warmth with a diverse patient base
- Solid attention to detail and a genuinely caring approach to patients
- Willingness to learn new dental practice management software
Nice to have (but not required)
- Experience with Invisalign
- Familiarity with intraoral scanning and digital workflows

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
