Shift timings: Day Shift ( 5a.m to 3.30p.m +Weekends)
One of our clients is currently seeking an Overhead Crane Operator that will play a crucial role in ensuring total order fulfillment by moving materials between machines and loading/unloading flatbed trailers. This position is vital to maintaining the overall productivity of the team and requires precise individual output.
Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial overhead cranes, specifically working with long narrow loads (rebar).
- Experience with tow motors (forklifts) and lift trucks (Raymond Reach) is an asset.
- Load and unload trailers with an overhead crane.
- Pull inventory according to order specifications.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment.
- Complete all necessary paperwork.
- Move miscellaneous material around the yard.
- Assess cut pieces for quality and prepare products for delivery.
- Lift loads of up to 50 lbs.
- Operate semi-automatic and manual machines.
- Assist other machine operators, forklift operators, and workers with various duties involving the physical handling of products, materials, and equipment as required or directed.
- Demonstrate strong safety awareness by wearing personal protective equipment at all times, performing duties safely, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Fill in for other positions as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of overhead crane experience, preferably with heavy materials.
- Onsite crane license provided; no current valid license required.
- Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of essential machine maintenance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Motivated team player with a "can-do" attitude, able to troubleshoot, focus, and organize the work area.
- Ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively while maintaining high attention to detail and quality.
- Quick learner with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Willingness to assist other plant personnel as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
