Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Hockey Coach to support our coaching team and help develop our athletes’ skills and teamwork. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain coaching experience in a dynamic sports environment, working closely with players to foster their growth both on and off the ice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hockey, teaching, and mentoring young athletes, with a willingness to contribute to a positive team culture.
Duties
- Assist head coach in planning and executing practice sessions, drills, and game strategies
- Support athlete development by providing constructive feedback and encouragement during practices and games
- Help supervise team activities, ensuring safety and sportsmanship at all times
- Contribute to the creation of training programs tailored to different skill levels
- Participate in team meetings, events, and community outreach programs
- Assist with equipment management, including setup and maintenance of hockey gear
- Promote a positive environment that emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and respect
Skills
- Strong background in teaching or coaching, with the ability to effectively communicate techniques and strategies
- Experience or familiarity with swimming is a plus, supporting athlete safety and wellness initiatives
- Excellent interpersonal skills to motivate and engage young athletes
- Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching team and connect with players of diverse ages and skill levels
- Passion for sports development, mentorship, and fostering a love for hockey

Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
