We're hiring a Site Safety & Project Coordinator to support an active ferry terminal construction project.
This is an 8-month, project-based contract role, with strong potential for extension or permanent employment as PIM continues to grow.
This position is primarily focused on project coordination, with additional responsibility supporting site safety.

Compensation
- $30-$38 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
What You’ll Do
Project Coordination (Primary Focus)
- Support the Project Manager with daily coordination of construction activities
- Manage project documentation (RFIs, submittals, reports, schedules)
- Coordinate with BC Ferries, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Track project progress, timelines, and deliverables
- Organize meetings, take minutes, and track action items
- Assist with procurement and logistics
Safety / CSO Responsibilities
- Act as on-site Construction Safety Officer
- Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations
- Lead safety orientations and toolbox talks
- Maintain safety documentation and reporting
What You Bring
- Experience in construction project coordination (civil, marine, or infrastructure preferred)
- Exposure to or interest in site safety / CSO responsibilities
- OFA Level 3 First Aid preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel between sites
