Position Overview : We’re seeking a high‑performing Sales Representative to lead Bardown’s sales efforts in northern Alberta (defined as all areas north of Lacombe). This commission‑based role centers on driving new business, building lasting partnerships, and representing a brand that’s deeply connected to the sports community.
This position is ideal for someone who already understands the sports and teamwear market, brings existing relationships within retail, associations, and teams, and thrives in outbound, on‑the‑road sales. Candidates with a developed book of business and a track record of selling team apparel will be strongly positioned for success.
Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and grow a pipeline of sales opportunities across your territory.
- Conduct proactive outreach to potential clients through in‑person meetings throughout the territory, supported by phone and email communication.
- Research and identify new opportunities across retail stores, organizations, associations, and teams.
- Develop and deliver polished proposals in collaboration with our graphic design team.
- Own the full sales cycle, ensuring smooth transition from proposal to order submission.
- Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Represent Bardown at events, meetings, and community engagements as required.
- Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and CRM updates to support planning and visibility.
- Collaborate with Marketing on targeted initiatives to drive regional growth.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience within the sports, apparel, or teamwear industry, including prospecting and managing a full sales cycle.
- Established network and existing book of business within the sports, retail, association, or teamwear space, with demonstrated ability to activate relationships quickly.
- This is an on‑the‑road, field base sales role with regular in‑person visits across the territory; candidates must reside within the region to support travel demands (Northern Alberta - all areas north of Lacombe) .
- Experience playing, coaching, or working in the sports industry is an asset (hockey strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with team apparel (jerseys, tees, hoodies, hats, etc.).
- Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and build lasting client relationships.
- Strong communication, organization, and follow‑through skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
