We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Sales Advisor with a passion for tools, customer service, and leadership. In this role, you will not only drive sales growth but also train and mentor Sales Advisors, support the Store Manager in achieving financial and operational objectives, and take ownership of your sales area. You will play a key role in developing customer relationships, maintaining store standards, and ensuring the highest level of customer experience in a fast-paced industrial retail environment.

Senior Sales Advisor – Your Role
Reporting to the Store Manager, the Senior Sales Advisor is responsible for driving sales results, maintaining strong customer relationships, and mentoring junior sales staff. You will be accountable for the financial performance and growth of your sales area, while ensuring customers receive the best possible solutions and service. In addition, you will support the Store Manager in co-managing a high-traffic, 15,000 sq. ft. retail environment with approximately 12,000 products.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth by engaging with customers, identifying needs, and offering solutions.
- Take ownership of your sales area, ensuring sales, profitability, and customer service goals are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, tradespeople, industrial clients, and supplier reps.
- Act as a coach and mentor, and train Sales Advisors to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
- Assist the Store Manager in monitoring sales performance and achieving targets.
- Participate in daily floor walks to ensure proper stock levels, accurate pricing, promotional tagging, and overall cleanliness.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and new products to ensure the store remains competitive.
- Collaborate effectively with Head Office and other store locations to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Support theft-prevention strategies and loss control initiatives.
- Ensure the highest quality of customer service and customer experience across the sales floor.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a retail or industrial sales environment.
- 3+ years of experience in the tool industry or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales growth and profitability targets.
- Proven ability to train, coach, and mentor Sales Advisors.
- Strong product knowledge with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Excellent business acumen and the ability to align team efforts with store goals.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changes, delays, and unforeseen events with professionalism.
- Physical ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license (required for travel to meetings, conventions, and industry events).
- Ability to travel within Canada and the United States as required.
Additional Details
- Full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week).
- Five-day workweek includes two days off: Sunday (store closed) and one weekday.
- One full weekend off every six weeks.
- Must be available to work Saturdays.
