Position Summary
The Electrical Assembler is responsible for performing electrical installations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on armored and specialty vehicles in accordance with engineering specifications and production requirements. This role supports the manufacturing process by installing and servicing vehicle electrical systems while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Shifts:
7:00am - 4:30pm - Day Shift
4:30pm - 2:00am - Evening Shift
Responsibilities
· Install new vehicle wiring systems and fabricate wiring harnesses
· Install, test, and troubleshoot lighting systems, alarm systems, audio/visual equipment, and other electrical components
· Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to complete installations accurately
· Diagnose electrical issues and report findings to the Production Supervisor
· Repair or replace faulty wiring, components, and electrical systems as required
· Perform assigned maintenance and repair tasks efficiently
· Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment
· Work in a safe and efficient manner to meet production targets and deadlines
· Maintain a clean and organized work area
· Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor
Qualifications
· 1–3 years of relevant electrical assembly experience
· Post-secondary education or technical training in electrical or a related field considered an asset
· Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
· Experience with wiring, soldering, crimping, and assembling electrical components
· Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
· Basic knowledge of electrical safety standards and procedures
· Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required
