Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust mechanical background and experience working with various types of heavy machinery, including telehandlers, aerial lifts booms and scissors, cranes, and farm equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery. A commitment to safety and customer service is essential in ensuring high-quality repairs and maintenance.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance on industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and assembly tasks.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair needs and timelines.
- Adhere to safety protocols while operating heavy equipment and performing maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery.
Experience
- Previous mechanic experience in a dealership or similar environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in working with JLG, Skyjack, Genie machinery and other heavy equipment brands is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform heavy lifting as required.
- Familiarity with automotive repair techniques is beneficial.
- Electrical experience is desirable for troubleshooting electrical components of machinery.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.41-$45.00 per hour
