We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator who is fluent in both French and English to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts, loading and unloading shipments, moving materials throughout the warehouse, and supporting inventory operations. Strong communication skills in both French and English are required to interact with team members and follow workplace instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance and/or reach forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks while ensuring product accuracy and safety.
- Move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse.
- Pick and stage orders for shipping.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities.
- Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company health and safety policies.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience.
- Valid forklift certification (Counterbalance, Reach, or both).
- Fluent in French and English (Mandatory).
- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Requirements
- Valid forklift licence/certification.
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CSA-approved safety shoes required.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
