With rapid growth and a focus on customer convenience, our delivery team is an essential part of the Kindling experience.
About the Role
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced environment and carries professionalism, attention to detail, and a passion for creating positive customer interactions. Drivers will be tasked with completing delivery orders within a one hour time frame. Drivers MUST own and be willing to use their vehicle for this role. Our Drivers are paid hourly + commission per delivery + 100% of tips. Drivers will also assist with light in-store duties during downtime and will be added to our on-call roster.
Store Hours are from 9 to 11 Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Execution
- Deliver cannabis products to customers within the designated time window (within 1 hour)
- Verify customer identification and age in compliance with AGLC and company policies
- Handle cashless payments using our delivery technology platforms
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries and completed transactions
Customer Experience
- Provide friendly, discreet, and professional service at every delivery touchpoint
- Communicate with customers regarding ETAs, delays, or order-related questions within our systems
- Ensure packages are transported securely and with care
- Represent Kindling Cannabis positively in the community
Compliance & Operations
- Adhere strictly to all AGLC regulations, Health Canada guidelines, and company operating procedures
- Ensure your vehicle is maintained in good working condition through regular checks and timely servicing
- Assist with in-store tasks during downtime, such as order packing, inventory prep or cleaning
- Protect customer privacy and comply with all confidentiality policies
Qualifications
- Fluent in English
- 1 year of delivery driving experience
- SellSafe certification via AGLC (https://aglc.ca/training/sellsafe-cannabis-staff-training)
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- Reside in Calgary
- Possess an Android or iOS smartphone with data and calling to use apps and to contact customers/store
- Able to navigate traffic and the city efficiently using GPS and road knowledge
- Highly efficient at finding parking
- Cannabis knowledge and willing to learn
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Punctual, trustworthy, and detail-oriented
- Experience in delivery, courier, or customer-facing roles is an asset
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs
Compensation
- Starting from $15 /hour
- $1-4.00 commission per successful delivery depending on distance
- 100% of tips for the trip go to you
