Motopark is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cook and Cashier to join our team, serving as our main cook and cashier on the weekends. The ideal candidate will have experience in cooking, customer service, and light administrative duties. You must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively to keep both the kitchen and the front counter running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Weekend Leadership: Act as the main cook and cashier during our busy weekend shifts.
- Food Prep & Cooking: Prepare, prep, and cook food items according to Motopark's recipes and guidelines. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Customer Service & Order Entry: Deal directly with customers, answer questions, put in orders accurately, and process payments using a cash register or POS system.
- Admissions & Waivers: Assist with signing people into the park and ensure all required liability waivers are filled out and signed correctly.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized cooking and dining area. Assist with opening and closing duties, including sweeping the building, cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies.
- Cash Handling: Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and reconcile cash transactions at the end of each shift.
- Teamwork: Work closely with other team members to ensure orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner, and address customer concerns proactively.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a similar role, including both cooking and cashiering duties.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks (e.g., cooking while managing sign-ins).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially regarding legal waivers and cash handling.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Must have weekend availability (ability to work holidays is a plus).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
