Spring Creek Quail is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Boil & Peel Boiler Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating the industrial boiler equipment, monitoring production processes, completing required documentation, and ensuring all food safety and quality standards are met.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced food processing environment while following HACCP, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements. This position requires strong attention to detail, physical ability, and a commitment to producing safe, high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
Boiler Operations

Operate and monitor the industrial boiler system used in the Boil & Peel process.

Measure and record water temperatures and production data accurately.
-
Feed eggs into the boiler, including lifting product containers weighing up to 12 kg to approximately shoulder height.

Monitor and document Critical Control Points (CCPs) to ensure food safety compliance.

Complete production paperwork and enter required information using a tablet.

Operate equipment controls, including:

Lighting and monitoring the boiler.

Tipping colanders to remove cooked eggs.
-
Adding ice to chill tanks.
-
Adjusting equipment settings as required.
-
Identify and report equipment issues or process concerns promptly.
Food Safety & Quality Assurance

Follow all food safety programs, including HACCP, GMPs, and company procedures.

Monitor products for quality issues and report defects or concerns immediately.

Maintain accurate production and quality records.
-
Follow all sanitation and preventive control requirements.

Ensure products meet company quality standards.
Cleaning & Sanitation
-
Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of equipment, tools, and work areas.

Safely handle approved cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment.

Participate in pre-operational and post-operational sanitation activities.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Health & Safety
-
Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

Wear required PPE at all times.

Report hazards, near misses, injuries, and unsafe conditions.

Participate in safety training and emergency procedures.

Maintain safe work practices while operating equipment.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance Support

Safely operate assigned processing equipment.

Complete basic equipment inspections before operation.
-
Assist with equipment setup, adjustments, and changeovers.

Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance concerns.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is an asset.

Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, or food safety practices is preferred.

Basic computer skills for completing records and production documentation.

Eligibility to work in Canada.

Benefits
