We are looking for an experienced pastry chef with a warm, welcoming, organized, and enthusiastic personality to join our bakery team. From working with our rotating and evolving pastry menu to developing and creating new flavours and types, you’ll play a key role in creating a fresh, dependable, and delicious experience for our customers. Responsibilities:
· Prepare cakes, pastries, pies and desserts according to recipes and standards.
· Bake items at the correct temperatures, ensuring consistency in quality and appearance.
· Check the quality of ingredients and finished products for freshness and adherence to standards.
· Manage inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies.
· Receive and store ingredients properly.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.
· Clean and sanitize baking equipment, utensils, and work surfaces after each shift.
· Work efficiently to meet production deadlines.
· Prioritize tasks to ensure all baking is completed on time.
· Adhere to company policies, food safety standards, and regulations.
Requirements:
· Knowledge of baking & pastry techniques, including fillings, icings, batters and doughs. Minimum 2 years of direct experience preferred.
· Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a bakery will be favoured.
· Dependable, reliable, punctual, and responsible.
· Collaborative/adaptable team player, who also works well independently.
· The ability to remain positive and focused under pressure.
· Professional and passionate about sharing knowledge while continually evolving and accepting constructive feedback.
· Up-to-date Safe Food Handling Certificate.
This position's wage will be determined by the applicants level of practical experience, with the opportunity for growth within the company.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
