Sanitec Ltd. is a small, fast-growing team that designs and installs residential and commercial wastewater systems across Nova Scotia. We’re looking for an experienced Skilled Labourer—the go-to person on the ground who keeps the job moving for our excavator operator.
What you’ll do
- Lay and connect PVC/HDPE pipe, fittings, and tanks to spec
- Set grades with a rotary/pipe laser and verify elevations
- Operate a skid steer for material handling, backfilling, and site clean-up
- Spot for heavy equipment, rig slings/chains, and keep the trench safe
- Load/unload materials, maintain a tidy site, and pitch in wherever needed
What you bring
- 2+ years in heavy civil, underground utilities, or septic installation (we’re not set up to train entry-level)
- Proven skid steer operation and solid hand-tool skills
- Confident with grading lasers and reading site plans
- NSE Septic Installer certificate (or equivalent) —strong asset
- Class 5 licence, clean driver’s abstract, and your own reliable transportation
- Physically fit, safety-minded, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Zero-tolerance for drugs/alcohol on site and a track record of punctuality
