A qualified Mechanical Assembler Level I – Entry / Junior will be able to read and follow assembly drawings and Narratives to correctly assemble and test a wide variety of hydraulic components and sub assemblies in a work cell environment with a group of Assemblers.
Principal Accountabilities:

Read work instructions, work orders, and production boards in order to understand and complete a wide variety of tasks throughout the assembly department

Assemble parts according to: work instructions, blueprint specifications, quality alerts, design changes and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.

Be aware of the correct operating sequence and workflow of the assembly department

Measure completed components correctly to the “tolerance of measurement” standard

Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

Communicate any issues/concerns to Supervisor

Conduct daily and preventative maintenance checks and cleaning, inspect equipment and make minor adjustments as required on an ongoing basis

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:

Wear all required PPE while in the plant.

Work safe & ergonomically by following H&S policies.

Report any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents across the plant.

Report accidents, near misses, injuries, or illnesses immediately to your supervisor.

Inspect equipment and the workplace regularly.

Be alert for hazards.

Cooperate with others on matters relating to occupational safety and health.
Knowledge, Skills and Education:
-
Completion of secondary school or equivalent or 1-3 years in Manufacturing is considered an asset

Ability to use various Mechanical Inspection Tools (e.g. Tape Measure, Calipers, Micrometers), Power Tools

Able to lift 35-50lbs
-
Good Written and Oral communication
-
Ability to find information and continuous learning.

High level of detail accuracy, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination;
-
Proficient with Technology, Reading text, Document use, Numeracy;

Ability to work as a team/independent;
-
Ability to work in a safe and orderly manner.
