Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling structural components used in scaffolding systems and steel structures. Your expertise will ensure that all products meet safety standards and client specifications while maintaining efficient production workflows.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate components
- Perform MIG and Flux Core welding to join metal parts with precision
- Use plasma cutting tools, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and calipers to shape and assemble materials
- Conduct rigging operations and operate cranes when handling large or heavy components safely
- Utilize machining equipment and ductwork knowledge to modify parts as needed for assembly or installation
- Follow safety protocols during fabrication processes, including proper use of personal protective equipment
- Grind, polish, deburr, and prepare metal parts as needed
- Assist with general shop and assembly work when required
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG and Flux core welding techniques with a strong focus on quality workmanship. CWB certification all positions is a major asset
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes and equipment operation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with plasma cutting, press brake machines, machining tools, and hand/power tools
- Knowledge of rigging procedures and crane operation for lifting heavy components safely
- Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication
- Construction experience or background in manufacturing environments preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus
- Strong understanding of schematics related to structural steel fabrication
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proficient in MIG and flux core welding; TIG welding is an asset but not required
- Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
