Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista / Short Order Cook to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing high-quality coffee beverages, serving food items, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, excellent time management skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages using POS systems such as Micros POS, Clover or Toast
- Cook and assemble short order menu items efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and operate cashiering systems with accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all food handling and preparation areas
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service to ensure a positive experience
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously with effective time management skills
- Follow food safety protocols and ensure proper food handling procedures are adhered to at all times
- Restock supplies as needed and keep workstations organized and sanitized throughout shifts
Experience
- Previous experience as a barista or in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros ,Clover, and or Toast POS, is advantageous
- Experience in serving, food preparation, or food service roles is beneficial
- Strong understanding of basic math for cash handling and transaction processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in food safety and quality standards
Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
