Overview
We are seeking a CAD Designer to join our custom manufacturing design team. This role is producing precise, yet basic and comprehensive drawings using 3D models. Expertise will support various types weldment-assemblies using standard steel shapes. Blueprint reading for construction, architecture, and engineering disciplines an asset.
Duties
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using industry-standard Inventor software.
- Translate client requirement into Shop Drawings for Submission and create manufacturing details for Shop-Welding & Procurement.
- Collaborate with project managers to refine design details and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Drawing documentation, including plans, sections, elevations, and detailed BOMs.
- Reviewing 3D models for accuracy, interference & manufacturability.
- Incorporate feedback from team members to revise drawings efficiently.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD & Inventor is essential.
- Strong drafting skills with ability to follow directions.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings accurately.
We are a small custom-fab shop, catering Misc-Metals to Municipal Infrastructure projects. Looking for design support due to the influx of ongoing projects. Ideal candidate should be a great helper to start. Growing skills & understanding to move toward more independent trust in new projects. Our design-work is simple & easy, for the right individual.
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
