Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide holistic patient care, utilizing osteopathic principles to promote health and wellness. This role involves working in various settings, including hospitals and home care environments, and requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and patient management.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
- Utilize Cerner for accurate data collection and management of patient records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care, particularly in pediatrics and pain management.
- Perform osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) to alleviate pain and improve mobility.
- Engage in research activities to stay updated on best practices and advancements in osteopathy.
- Provide education to patients and families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license to practice osteopathy.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Cerner.
- Experience in patient care settings, including hospitals and home care environments.
- Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and documentation.
- Knowledge or experience in pediatrics is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on empathetic patient interactions.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and research within the field.
