Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server to provide exceptional guest experiences in a dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tables while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling payments, and ensuring guest satisfaction from start to finish. Prior food service or restaurant experience is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with sanitation standards
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless guest service from seating to departure
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Experience with food industry practices including serving, upselling, and food safety protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in the hospitality industry
