Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Associate Manager, Leasing & Property to support the day-to-day leasing and property management operations of a growing residential and commercial portfolio in Edmonton. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong operational, tenant relations, and administrative capabilities, and extensive experience using Yardi property management software.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leasing, tenant coordination, financial tracking, reporting, and system administration within Yardi, while supporting portfolio performance and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Leasing & Tenant Relations
- Manage leasing activities across residential and commercial properties
- Coordinate listings, marketing, showings, and tenant screening
- Prepare and administer leases, renewals, amendments, and related documentation
- Serve as a primary contact for tenant inquiries and issue resolution
- Monitor lease expiries and proactively manage renewals and vacancies
Property Operations Support
- Assist with day-to-day property management functions across the portfolio
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and vendors regarding service requests and work orders
- Track compliance items, certificates, and property documentation
- Support move-in and move-out processes and inspections
Yardi System Administration & Reporting (Core Requirement)
- Lead daily use and administration of Yardi across leasing and property functions
- Maintain accurate tenant, lease, and property data in Yardi
- Manage rent rolls, charges, adjustments, and reconciliations within the system
- Generate operational and financial reports
- Support system configuration, data cleanup, and workflow improvements
- Assist with onboarding team members to Yardi processes and best practices
Financial & Administrative
- Support rent collection tracking and arrears follow-up
- Review and validate billing, CAM charges, and tenant accounts
- Assist with budgeting support and variance tracking
- Ensure accurate digital recordkeeping and audit-ready files
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in both residential and commercial leasing and property management (required)
- Proven hands-on experience managing mixed property portfolios
- Extensive, hands-on experience with Yardi (required)
- Strong knowledge of leasing processes, documentation, and tenant lifecycle
- Experience with rent rolls, reporting, and property financial tracking
- Solid understanding of property management regulations and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
