Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking crew member to join our landscaping team for this summer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various outdoor projects, including landscape maintenance, gardening and various other softscaping tasks . This role offers an opportunity to develop hands-on skills in horticulture, mechanical maintenance, and the use of power and hand tools within a dynamic work environment. This position relays heavily on physical labour so please keep that in mind while applying.
Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and fertilizing
- Operate and maintain equipment including excavators, irrigation systems, and other machinery
- Use hand tools and power tools for gardening and maintenance projects
- Support installation of new landscaping features and elements
- Help with soil preparation, planting, and horticultural care to ensure healthy growth of plants.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with landscape maintenance specifically softscaping is preferred
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
- Physical ability to perform outdoor labor including lifting, digging, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors
- Valid driver's license is preferred for equipment operation or site travel purposes
