We are looking for an experienced Dispatcher to join our transportation company. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with dry vans and reefers, strong knowledge of cross-border dispatching between Canada and the USA, and experience with load brokering.
Responsibilities:
- Dispatch and coordinate drivers to ensure on-time pickup and delivery
- Plan routes and schedules efficiently across Canada & USA
- Source and book loads through load boards and brokers
- Negotiate rates with brokers and customers
- Monitor loads and proactively resolve delays or issues
- Communicate with drivers, brokers, and customers daily
- Maintain trailer pool and ensure proper trailer utilization
- Track trailer locations and update systems accordingly
- Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of dispatching experience in the trucking/transportation industry
- Experience with dry vans and reefers (required)
- Proven experience with load brokering and load boards
- Strong understanding of Canada & USA cross-border operations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with dispatch/load management software
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
