Responsibilities
- Install mechanical systems and equipment according to specifications and blueprints
- Assemble components using hand tools and power tools with precision and safety
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper installation and operation of mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot installation issues and perform necessary adjustments or repairs
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and industry standards during installation processes
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience with power tools including drills, saws, grinders, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work safely in potentially challenging environments
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions as needed
