Assembly Coordinator – Wood Manufacturing

Express Employment Professionals Woodbridge is recruiting for an Assembly Coordinator on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer of custom commercial wood products.
This is a hands-on coordination role for an experienced wood assembler who can support daily production, troubleshoot issues, and work closely with the Production Supervisor to keep operations running smoothly.
The ideal candidate has experience with cabinetry, casework, millwork, or commercial furniture assembly and can lead by example while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and production.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily assembly activities based on production schedules and priorities.
- Assemble cabinets, casework, and custom wood components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Identify and communicate production delays, material issues, and quality concerns.
- Support team members with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Work closely with the Supervisor to resolve production challenges.
- Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Lead by example with strong work practices, PPE compliance, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in wood assembly, cabinetry, millwork, casework, or commercial furniture manufacturing.
- Strong ability to read drawings and understand assembly requirements.
- Experience with BOMs, production schedules, and ERP systems is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with production teams.
- Previous lead hand or senior assembler experience is preferred.
