Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Conveyancer / Legal Assistant to join our well-established Courtenay office. Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage residential purchase, sale, and refinance files from start to finish
- Prepare conveyancing documents, statements of adjustments, and closing packages
- Conduct title searches and register documents through the LTSA
- Communicate with clients, realtors, lenders, strata managers, and opposing offices
- Maintain accurate file records and meet all deadlines
- Assist with billing, trust accounting, and file closing procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of BC real estate conveyancing experience
- Experience in a notary public or law office preferred
- Strong knowledge of BC conveyancing practices and LTSA systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple files independently
