Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Labourer & Maintenance employee (approximately 25-30 hours per week) to assist with seasonal groundskeeping and general maintenance tasks at residential condominium complexes and commercial buildings. This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, dependable, and comfortable performing outdoor and light maintenance work in varying weather conditions.
Hours are scheduled on an as-needed basis and may vary depending on weather conditions, seasonal demands, and property maintenance requirements.
Duties
- Snow removal including shoveling walkways, entrances, and other access areas
- Grass cutting, trimming, and general lawn maintenance
- Application of fertilizer and basic lawn care treatments
- Sweeping parking lots, sidewalks, and outdoor common areas
- Washing exterior windows where accessible
- General maintenance (including, but not limited to, changing door handles, painting, drywall repair, minor plumbing, reading gauges, pressure washing, cleaning parkade floors)
- Pool maintenance (including, but not limited to, taking readings, cleaning of pool and hot tub areas)
- Ensuring outdoor areas are clean, safe, and well maintained
- Operating basic landscaping and maintenance equipment safely
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance or a similar role
- Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or general labour experience
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
- Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to approximately 50 lbs
- Basic knowledge of landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers and trimmers preferred
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation; trailer towing experience
- Swimming Pool Operator Level 1 certificate is an asset, but not required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
