Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Surveillance Technician and Pilot in Training to join our dynamic team in Red Deer, Alberta. This role involves operating surveillance equipment, assisting with aerial flight operations, and gaining hands-on experience in pilot training in a surveillance business. This role begins with a surveillance technician role, and transitions into a PIC position after 6 months. The position is based at our Red Deer hangar, and it is expected that our candidate be located within 45 minutes of the base for dispatch ability.

Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain various surveillance systems, including photography, sensors, and other monitoring devices.
- Support future transition opportunities by learning flight operations, navigation, and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections or testing of surveillance equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Support the Pilot-In-Command with flight planning and emergency procedures as required.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze data collected from surveillance activities.
- Assist with surveillance mapping and data analysis.
Requirements
- Must hold a Canadian Commercial Pilots License.
- Must be willing to relocate within 45 minutes of hangar base within the first 30 days of employment.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience working with technical equipment is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience or familiarity with GIS technology is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and a drive for teamwork.
- Respect for business principles deeply rooted in safety and compliance.
- Willingness to undergo pilot training to transition to a PIC role.
