In-Home Assisted Living Inc. (IHAL) is seeking a dedicated, caring, and reliable Personal Support Worker (PSW) and Caregiver to support our client in the comfort of his home. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality, client-centred care, we would love to hear from you.
What You should know:
Location: Yonge & St. Clair, Toronto
Shift: Saturdays & Sundays 12noon - 4pm
What You’ll Do: Provide Companionship for male client with cognitive delays, 74 years
Personal Support & Daily Care
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Accompany on walks around neighbourhood
Companionship & Emotional Support
- Engage clients in meaningful conversation and provide reassurance
- Promote comfort, dignity, independence, and well-being
What We’re Looking For
- PSW Certificate required
- Minimum 1 year of caregiving or PSW experience
- Training in Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) or Non-Violent Crisis Prevention preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification required
- Ability to use a mobile phone for documentation and time tracking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Second language is an asset
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to respond calmly to unexpected situations
