Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Collision Painter to join our team at our busy dealership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to repaired vehicles, ensuring a professional appearance and customer satisfaction. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are preferred, but we welcome candidates eager to develop their skills in automotive painting and repair.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint, clear coats, and touch-up finishes using spray guns and hand tools
- Ensure all painted surfaces meet quality standards and match factory specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with minor repairs or mechanical tasks as needed, supporting overall vehicle restoration
- Follow detailed instructions from supervisors to achieve precise color matching and finishes
- Inspect completed work for defects or imperfections and perform necessary corrections
Skills
- Experience working in a dealership or automotive collision repair environment is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to vehicle repair processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment used in painting applications
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or supplies
- Familiarity with automotive repair procedures and safety standards
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for color matching and finish quality
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
