Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Tattoo Artist to join our vibrant studio. The ideal candidate will have a passion for body art, excellent artistic skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role involves designing custom tattoos, maintaining high standards of sanitation, and creating a welcoming environment for clients. Experience in related beauty or retail services such as body waxing, makeup application, or nail care is a plus. The Tattoo Artist will play a key role in enhancing client satisfaction and promoting the studio’s artistic offerings.
Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their tattoo ideas and provide professional design recommendations
- Create custom tattoo designs that meet client specifications while ensuring artistic quality
- Perform tattoo procedures following strict sanitation and safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and sterile work environment in compliance with health regulations
- Educate clients on aftercare procedures to ensure proper healing of tattoos
- Promote studio services through product demos, guest services, and upselling additional treatments such as body waxing or eyelash extensions
- Assist at the front desk with guest inquiries, scheduling appointments, and retail sales of related products
- Foster positive guest experiences by delivering excellent hospitality and personalized service
- Stay updated on industry trends and continuously improve artistic skills through training and practice
Skills
- Strong artistic ability with proficiency in drawing and design software (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills to effectively consult with clients and explain procedures
- Knowledge of sanitation standards specific to tattooing and body art practices
- Customer service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Experience in retail sales, upselling, or product demos is advantageous
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Background in related beauty services such as makeup application, nail care, or eyelash extensions is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining individual artistic integrity
