The Charlotte Birchard Centres of Early Learning is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our Extended Day Program at Westboro Children's Centre. This is a fixed-term position, Monday to Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (4 hours per day), with opportunities for additional hours based on program needs. Additional hours may include a split shift in the Toddler or Preschool programs from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., or sleep-time support beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Looking for an Educator to join an amazing team! Westboro Children's Centre has openings for energetic, creative, and dynamic Registered Early Childhood Educators and Program Educators. Candidates should possess the ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and be able to work as part of a committed and dedicated team. Knowledge of Ministry of Education Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 legislation and How Does Learning Happen? Framework are a benefit.
Along with other staff, under the supervision of the Supervisor, plans and implements developmentally appropriate curriculum, which includes activities and experiences for children between the ages of 3.6 years to 12 years of age, focusing on the age range of children in the room you are positioned in. Provides a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment showing sensitivity to the individual needs of children in all aspects of development.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Registered Early Childhood Educator (Member in Good Standing with CECE)
· Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
· Updated Health Assessment and Immunization
· Clear Police Reference Check for Vulnerable Sector
· Leadership qualities, positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
· Proven ability to work effectively and professionally in a multi-faceted environment
· Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written
· French language would be an asset

RECE Salary: $23.39 plus $2.00 Provincial wage enhancement and CWELCC workforce incentives
Non-RECE Salary: $21.25 plus $2.00 Provincial wage enhancement incentive
