About Us: Camp Miriam is a vibrant and welcoming youth-led overnight Jewish summer camp. As we prepare for the upcoming summer season, we are seeking reliable, friendly, and responsible Kitchen Staff to join our dedicated team.

The Camp Miriam kitchen staff's responsibility is working on a team to prepare three meals and two snacks each day to a camp of 165 campers and 80 staff.
This position includes but is not necessarily limited to the following responsibilities:
- Help prepare all meals and snacks
- Ensure there are appropriate alternative meals for those with dietary restrictions (i.e., vegetarian, gluten free, among others)
- Maintain a kosher style kitchen, which requires: serving meat and dairy as separate meals, ensuring meat and dairy meals are not prepared together, using separate dishes for meat and dairy.
- Clean kitchen and all kitchen tools in accordance with FoodSafe standards
- Work on a kitchen staff of 6-8 people creating a welcoming and warm working environment
This position requires working three meal shifts daily (ranging from 2-3 hours), plus additional hours as necessary. Because we are located on an island, room and board is provided.
This position reports to the Head Chef and Kitchen Manager.
