Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Paver Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating paving equipment to ensure the efficient and precise installation of asphalt and concrete surfaces. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, construction processes, and safety protocols. The Paver Operator plays a vital part in delivering high-quality paving projects that meet client specifications and project deadlines. Work locations all over GTA.
Responsibilities
- Operate paver machines to lay asphalt, concrete, or other paving materials according to project plans and specifications
- Assist with the setup and calibration of paving equipment to ensure accurate material placement
- Coordinate with crew members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to safety standards
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on paving equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Assist with related tasks such as concrete forming, finishing, and loader operation as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and any issues encountered
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with pavers, loaders, excavators, or similar machinery
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Background in construction, paving, concrete forming, or related fields is preferred
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus for transporting equipment or materials between sites
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials when necessary
- Strong attention to safety standards and procedures
- Reliable transportation to job sites and willingness to work flexible hours as required
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
