Haldimand-Norfolk REACH is a multi-service agency, providing Autism & Behaviour Services, Child & Youth Mental Health Services, Developmental Services, Youth Services, Adult Counselling Services, and several Early Learning Intervention & Care services including EarlyON Child & Family Centres and the Community Action Program for Children.
H-N REACH serves as the Lead Agency for Haldimand-Norfolk Child & Youth Mental Health Services, Coordinated Service Planning and the Student Nutrition Program in the Hamilton/Niagara Region. Through our Contact Unit, the agency serves as the single point of access for a variety of children’s services.

Early Learning & Care Unit- New Position
School-Age Program
CHILD CARE PROGRAM LEADER Ref. #2026-47
Part-time, Permanent, Hourly
-program runs September to June
-Delhi: St. Frances Cabrini Location
-35 hours per week during the school year
-Hours of work are Monday – Friday, 7:00am-9:00am & 2:00pm-6:00pm, during the school year along with planning and administrative responsibilities
Wage Rate: Step 1 $26.38 - Step 2 $28.56 - Step 3 $28.56
*(Rates include the Wage Subsidy, Wage Enhancement, and Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care grants as per current funder guidelines, for eligible individuals).

Responsibilities:
- To develop and deliver engaging, play-based programming reflects children’s interests and supports their learning and development
- To provide leadership to the Before and After School-Age Program by ensuring the day-to-day operations of the Before & After Program and ensuring all of the requirements in the Child Care & Early Years Act 2014 (CCEYA) are met
- Implementing the program statement and maintaining cooperative links with parents, school principal and community professionals and the School-Age team
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education Diploma (registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators in good standing), Social Services, or related field diploma
- Experience leading children’s activities
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- A minimum of one year experience preferred
- Current certification in First Aid/CPR-C Certificate
- Verification of the required immunizations/immunity, as required by the local Medical Officer of Health
- Vulnerable Sector Record Check (includes Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check) and Children’s Aid Society Declaration/Release
- Possession of a valid driver’s licence, $2 million vehicle liability insurance, clear Driver Abstract and use of a vehicle.
