Position Overview
RocketPainter Kingston is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Painter to join our full-time crew. This role is designed for individuals who are committed to learning the trade properly, performing high-quality work, and contributing to a professional team environment.
Candidates will work on a variety of interior and exterior residential and commercial painting projects, supported by structured training, clear systems, and an experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
Interior Painting
- Brush and roll application with a focus on clean lines, smooth finishes, and consistent results
- Surface preparation including puttying, sanding, and minor drywall repairs
- Proper ladder setup and safe operation in varied interior environments
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout each project
Exterior Painting
- Full prep work including scraping, sanding, and priming for long-term durability
- Painting at heights using ladders and appropriate safety practices
- Keeping job sites clean, organized, and professional at all times
Qualifications and Attributes

Prior painting experience is an asset but is not required. We are committed to training the right candidate from the ground up.
