JOB OVERVIEW
The maintenance supervisor ensures respect of all health and safety regulations and quality standard adherence in the maintenance sector. Actively supervises maintenance millwrights and contractors, keeps open lines of communication with management and other productions sectors. Completes on time and on budget all preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance tasks on machinery and facilities including calibration of select equipment using approved standards and procedures. Participates in and supervises troubleshooting and repair of complex equipment including engine test cell, conventional and CNC vertical and horizontal lathes, CNC grinders, heat treat equipment, and cleaning lines. Improves existing and creates new preventive maintenance and calibration instructions.
Responsibilities:

Actively supervises millwrights and electromechanics in a multishift environment

Assigns tasks to millwrights and contractors

Assigns shift schedules to millwrights, manages overtime, and on-call schedule

Ensures planned maintenance and calibration schedule adherence

Implements corrective and preventive actions related to machinery and facilities

Oversees maintenance and reconfiguration of machinery and facilities
-
Provides solutions to a variety of equipment technical problems in engine test cell and machine shop

Organizes and leads maintenance training

Participates in deviation and nonconformance investigations

Ensures availability of spare parts, tools, and equipment

Monitors spare part inventory, places purchase requisitions

Responds to maintenance requests

Leads safety inspections at worksites

Maintains accurate and detailed records of executed tasks in both electronic and manual systems
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate:

Respects all safety and health regulations and ensures compliance with applicable standards at FTAIC
-
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in active supervision of a maintenance department in a unionized, highly regulated environment

Comprehends and is competent to supervise all work of related maintenance trades in accordance with approved standards and documented instructions

Is a recognized subject matter expert of equipment and facilities maintenance and calibration including machine shop, engine test cell, HVAC, compressed air, and electrical installations

Is bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)
