We’re currently seeking a motivated and reliable Production Line Operator to join our dynamic Facilities Team.
Position Overview:
As a Production Line Operator, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of production lines used for bagging, top-sealing, and re-grading. Your role will include monitoring production staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining product quality throughout the shift. This is an existing role within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate production lines for bagging, top-seal, and re-grading.
- Ensure that all packaging meets specifications and is properly signed off.
- Report any equipment or line issues to maintenance.
- Adhere to health, safety, and food safety protocols at all times.
- Monitor fruit quality throughout the production process.
- Communicate effectively with other departments as necessary.
- Assist with other production tasks as needed.
- Perform general cleaning duties to maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Operator or in a similar role is preferred.
- FLT and Power Jack license is an asset.
- Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role.
- Knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, Office).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
Working Conditions:
- Flexibility to work overtime, afternoon shifts during peak season, and weekends.
- Ability to work in coolers for short periods.
- Physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Requires sitting, driving, walking, and lifting as part of daily duties.
- Must be able to read health and safety signage and hear important alerts (e.g., vehicle horns).
- Some computer work involved.
